RE: New smoking policy
As of [Date of law], [State of Company] is virtually smoke-free in almost all public buildings and restaurants. This new law also pertains to our company.
In compliance with that State Law, our building will be smoke-free. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside during your break at the back of our building, away from public entrance and exit areas. Smoking breaks should be arranged with your department supervisor.
For those who wish to kick the smoking habit for good, a company-sponsored seminar is available for this year. Please contact the personnel department for further details.
